Depending on the types of assets being sold and their markets, many times a live auction sale will be “Webcast” live over the Internet so buyers can compete online against bidders live. Using our proprietary, state-of-the-art software, buyers can log into the auction from their personal computers and view all lots as they come up for sale, hear the auctioneer as the sale is being conducted, and in some cases, view live streaming video of the auctioneer up on the block.
The Webcast buyer can bid on any of the lots as they come up for sale with the simple click of the mouse. Webcast bidding increases competition, expands our global marketplace, and brings a higher overall return on assets. In some cases, especially when assets are located in remote areas not easily accessible to buyers, Great American Group may determine that a Webcast-only sale will bring the highest return on assets. In this situation, the auction would simply be conducted exclusively over the Internet, and all buyers would need to log in to the Webcast to hear the sale being called and to bid on lots.
No matter which scenario works best for your company--be it a live auction sale, a live auction sale in conjunction with a Webcast, or a Webcast-only sale--Great American Group is committed to protecting our clients and generating the highest return on all assets. As with most projects, auctions are available on a fee, guarantee, or outright purchase basis.
