Webcast Problems?
Please do the following:
Using Internet Explorer only from your PC:
1) Re-download the s/w by clicking on “download latest version now” from this link: http://apps.losangeles.auctionsolutions.com/3.8/ca5/
2) If you are using Vista, do the following:
VISTA INSTRUCTIONS
1) click on start button
2) click on my computer
3) goto Drive C:
4) goto program files
5) goto Auction Client
6) right-mouse click on ringstart.exe
7) click on compatability tab
8) check the box "Run as Administrator"
9) click the "OK" button
10) go back and click on the link
3) If the box appears and says “Connecting to Server Started” but remains at 0%, adjust your firewall settings to:
TCP/IP (inbound/outgoing) UDP (in & outbound/bi-directional)
Ports 5700 - 5725 Ports 9850 - 9900
Ports 8000 - 8025
Ports 8700 - 8725
4) Confirm that you are using your 4-digit paddle number as your user ID and the password you created at registration
5) Lastly, if none of that works, email Webcast@greatamerican.com your name and phone# and we will have IT call you.
Using a MAC?
The webcast system is a Windows based system. Macs have OSX pre-installed but can run Windows in addition to OSX.The webcast software only runs on the Windows OS, however you can do the followiong to run the webcast software on your Mac.
1. Run through Boot Camp provided you do have Windows OS. You can watch a video on how to use Boot Camp at http://www.apple.com/macosx/what-is-macosx/compatibility.html.
2. Use Parallels to install windows. http://www.parallels.com
3. Use VMware to install windows http://vmware
